New Year’s Eve weddings are the best, no question. Guests walk into the wedding with the mindset of partying straight until midnight. Combine that with the typical seasonal attire plus the phenomenal holiday food and you get one glamorous way to celebrate the end of the year. NYE weddings are ALWAYS all out until the clock strikes midnight. The only downside is the super early sunset, but that just adds to the whole party atmosphere.
Stephanie & Chris became husband and wife during a lovely ceremony at Saginaw’s Peace Lutheran Church lead by family friend (and newly appointed) Paster Matt Hauser. Surrounded by subtle touches of Christmas decorations, the couple said their vows to each other in front of close friends and family. Afterwards, they posed for a few family photos and headed out for some wedding day fun!
All Night Affair had plenty of room on their party bus for the excited wedding party, who first headed over to SVSU for one quick group photo in front of campus. After a few stops to a couple local drinking establishments, the group headed to Horizons Conference Center where guests were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new Mr. & Mrs. Wajer. Once the bridal party was safely tucked away in their private suite, guests were ushered into a ballroom lavishly decorated with white and gold sparkles.
The evening began with a few heartfelt speeches from bridal party members addressing some fun memories of the past and well wishes for the future. Stephanie also took the mic for a few sentimental moments while Chris held her hand in a serene gesture of love and support. Once Paster Hauser gave the blessing, Horizons served a wonderful meal of prime rib, fish, and chicken.
The end of dinner meant it was time to open up the dance floor! With Corey of Rusch Entertainment at the helm, Stephanie & Chris warmed up the dance floor with their first dance(s) to the delight of spectators. The evening continued with Stephanie’s dad showing off his dance skills during the father daughter dance and Chris’ mom’s eyes filled with happy tears during her special dance. The dance floor was then opened up for guests where it was full long past the stroke of midnight.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! It’s hard to believe that we are just over 3 months away from the 2017 wedding season.
Congrats Stephanie & Chris!
