Amy & Larry’s wedding day was a bit out of the ordinary for me; short and sweet. The majority of the clients that work with me usually book my services for at least 8 hours, so a 4 hour day was a completely different type of experience. Thankfully, we did quite a bit of preparation, so accomplishing all the required photographs in this short time frame wasn’t too difficult at all.
With a 4pm ceremony in the lobby of the Great Hall and a 6:30 dinner in the connecting main ballroom, I had to get a bit creative. After photographing the family formals indoors, we had planned on heading to a local park, however we just didn’t have enough time. My creative solution? Head across the street for a bridal session at Ghengis Khan’s! It’s definitely not the strangest place I have taken photographs, however, it was probably most convenient. You can’t even tell we were just a few feet behind a Mongolian BBQ restaurant!
After a fantastic dinner prepared by the Great Hall, Amy & Larry cut their beautiful cake. Just before taking the dance floor for their first dance, the newlyweds spent some time to mingle with their guests. From there, Casey of Rusch Entertainment kept the music playing for the remainder of the night.
Congrats Amy & Larry!
